Nearly every tire company today has an all-seasons tire in its portfolio. But how well do they keep their promise to their customers whose appetite for an all year round solution is on the increase?

I have personally tried a number of tires marketed as all-season. Most of them perform well on dry and wet conditions but fall short on snow. However, there are a few that really are genuinely all-season, and one such a tire is Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport

It is after I was impressed by Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport that I decided to recognize the tire through this article. The handling was excellent for dry, wet and snow and I can say the 3 peak mountain snowflake emblem is rightfully merited.

This Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport review is your one-stop-shop for everything you need to know about the tire detailing the features, the pros, and cons as well as the drive test experience.

Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport Features

Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport is built on a number of features and a technology that helps it outclass others in its category on traction and the overall handling.

The tire’s rubber is compounded with Silica. Silica compound is known for its traction and grip benefits as well as for long treadwear. This makes Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport a desirable tire for better grip and extended tread wear.

The symmetrical tread construction of the tire ensures that there is more bite on the road, which enhances the stability of the vehicle. The tread design also helps in making the wheels more responsive to steering as well as making sure that your tires age uniformly.

The continuous rib of Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport combines with Next Generation ETEC to enhance handling and stability. This gives you the confidence on the road even at chilling speeds.

The tire bears wide and deep circumferential grooves that are responsible for hydroplaning purposes. This means running water and snowflakes are channeled away to guarantee you a smooth ride with little resistance.

Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport is engineered with treads bearing 3 D siping technology that helps the tire provide more grip. This feature comes in handy, especially when cruising on wet and snow surfaces. The G-Wedged sidewall featured enhances the cornering and braking experiences.

The inner layers of Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport are built with two steel belts and a polymer casing that improves on the tire’s durability and stability.

All the above features combine to enhance the performance of Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport. The tire is recommended for owners of Sedans, Minivans, Coupes and light crossovers who would wish to spice their rides with a touring all-season tire that will deliver on snow.

Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport Review: Test Drive and Findings

Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport Tested Review

Subaru Impreza and I combined forces to test Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport in readiness for this review. If you belong to the group of consumers who have to test almost everything before parting with their hard-earned money, then this section got you covered. Below is an account of the tire’s performance across various platforms.

I got the chance to test the tires both on the highway and off-road. The traction on both conditions was very good. The handling and stability of the vehicle were great, and the tires were responsive to the steering. The cornering experience was fantastic, and the braking distance was shorter than most tires in its class. Overall, Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport’s performance on dry conditions is impressive.

Cruising through the rain and running water on the highway came with much ease. The water underneath was not troublesome as you would expect them to create a drag on the tires. I could barely feel any struggle on the wheels.

The only occasion I lost grip was when I veered off the road to avoid hitting another car that was trying to overtake. However, the wheels regained their bite on the surface almost immediately.

This is the surface I was eager to test the tires on. In fact, I was willing to let go of all the other surfaces but not this one, and the reason is that it is rare to find an all-seasons tire survives the snow. Well, Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport did not disappoint. While I could n’t rate it at the same level as its sister tire BFGoodrich Winter Slalom KSI or any other winter-specific tire, it leads the rest of the all-season tires in snow performance.

Pairing a vehicle with great tires is the secret to an extra comfort in your rides. Subaru Impreza is built to impress through immense pleasure. Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport adds fun on top of performance. I found my rides comfortable, and that is the reason I have something positive to write about the tires on this subject.

It was all quite driving on the tires both off-road and the highway but on low to moderate speeds. However, when I pressed the throttle harder, the humming on the highway could be noticed. But still, the noise is not anywhere near a bird’s chirping so you can still put up with it.

Tread Wear

I have done more than 1500 miles with a set of Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport on the Subaru Impreza, and they are yet to give in to my punishing driving. The sidewalls are still intact and the treads still fresh. Depending on the speed rating, the tire can go up to 70,000 miles.

What are the alternatives of Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport

  • BFGoodrich Winter Slalom KSI: Better winter tire than Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport
  • Michelin Defender All-Season Radial: Better ride comfort than Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport
  • Falken Wildpeak AT3W: Better mud tire than Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport

Should You Buy Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport?

You can almost predict my response with precision. It is a yes for me backed by the above experience. Because I am not selfish, I would also wish that you get the tire and get to enjoy what it has to offer.

However, if you are a top speed driver on the highways and you love your rides to be as noiseless as possible, then you may want to consider something else.

We hope that our Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport review has answered all your queries and concerns about the tire.

  1. Have the BF GOODRICH ADVANTAGE SPORT tire on my Arcadia. These are the noisiest tires I’ve ever experienced. The road noise is so loud people can’t hear me on the phone even with headphones on. Can’t get these things off my truck fast enough.
